Dear IDESG Membership,
I want to take this opportunity to announce the resignation of Marc-Anthony (M.A.) Signorino, the IDESG’s first Executive Director, who will be leaving us on July 6, 2016. Since M.A. joined our organization, 18 months ago, the IDESG has undergone a transformation into a more professional organization that is a recognized leader in the identity world. With his help, we’ve launched the Identity Ecosystem Framework (IDEF) and the IDEF Registry, created a new website and branding strategy, established new collaboration tools to empower the plenary committees and put into place a streamlined strategic plan and bylaws. I’d like to, personally, wish M.A. great success in his next position and thank him for his contributions.
As M.A. moves on to other ventures, I now have the distinct pleasure of announcing that Sarah Schacht will be our new Operations Manager. Sarah, as a technology entrepreneur with expertise in open government, brings more than ten years of experience building, incubating and executing programs, that engage people and drive technology solutions for the community. Her social media and community engagement strategies have benefited some of the world's largest philanthropic organizations – experience that will greatly benefit the IDESG, as we move forward into our next chapter.
Sarah will be starting next week, so please join me in warmly welcoming her to the IDESG family, as we also bid a fond farewell to M.A.
Sincerely,
Sal D’Agostino
President, IDESG
